Yes. The free plan covers one property with up to 12 housemates, rent tracking, bill splitting, shared lists and chat, with no credit card needed. Pro adds full bill and rent history, unlimited contact reveals, listing analytics and removes ads.

Each housemate gets a monthly rent entry. A renter marks rent as paid, the owner confirms it, and the status moves from unpaid to claimed to paid. If an owner does not action a claim within 5 days it auto-confirms, so nobody is left chasing. Overdue months roll up into an arrears summary.

Yes. Split a bill equally across whoever you select, or enter custom amounts per person. Each share is tracked separately and settled individually, so you always know exactly who still owes what.

You can set up a property and invite housemates by phone number or email before they join. Their rent and bills are tracked against a pending invite, and everything links up automatically when they sign up.

Yes. Mates on Rent includes a room marketplace. List a spare room with photos and rent details, or search rooms near you by location, price and preferences, then message the lister in-app.

The app works anywhere. Subscriptions are priced locally in Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada and India, and rent can be tracked in your local currency.

On iOS, manage or cancel it any time from your Apple ID subscription settings. On Android and web, cancel from the subscription screen in the app. You keep Pro features until the end of the period you have paid for.
